The second season of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) continued to deliver thrilling high-scoring action as West Delhi Lions executed a stunning run chase, defeating East Delhi Riders by 7 wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Monday.

Batting first, East Delhi Riders set an imposing target with a score of 208/4 in 20 overs, but the West Delhi Lions chased it down with remarkable ease, securing a victory in the high-octane match.

Faced with a challenging target of 209, the Lions’ batters stepped up brilliantly, showcasing dominant strokeplay. Opener Krish Yadav set the tone with an explosive 62 off just 29 balls, hitting boundaries with precision.

Ayush Doseja provided essential support, playing a mature and match-winning innings, remaining unbeaten on 84 off 48 deliveries, and guiding his team home with confidence and composure.

Skipper Nitish Rana contributed crucial runs, smashing a rapid 39 off 15 balls, maintaining the run rate and keeping the pressure on the opposition. The Lions successfully reached their target in 17.3 overs, securing a decisive victory in one of the tournament’s most impressive chases so far.
